I’ll start out this newsletter with an apology. I did say we would release “The Philosophy of Learning” DVD in October. Well, when I looked closely at just what I wanted to include in the program I realized I had enough valuable information for a series of DVDs. I just couldn’t do justice to all the material in a one hour talk.
As a consequence we WILL release the first of a series in November. All being well we will film in about ten days time. I promise you that you will be amazed at the viewpoints and strategies unveiled. We will answer the question why it is so many people find it hard to ‘take on’ new knowledge and skills. We will also give you the pathway to greatly enhanced learning skills.
No more trying to ‘fit in’ to some one else’s system. You can learn in the way that is right for you and, best of all, you will know exactly where you are going and know you are getting there in the most effective way. Look out for it.
Dark Days
“The finest steel is forged by the fiercest flame.”
Ollie Lind
I penned that quote many years ago when I was experiencing some dark times in my life. After I came through the other side I was battered, but wiser. I realized that, whatever calamity befell me, nothing could change me. I am who I am and I will always remain true to my beliefs and values.
I saw the end of a friendship this weekend and I am saddened by it. The circumstances are unimportant, but the lesson isn’t. I have lost someone of integrity and courage. The actual issue was trivial, but the principle was very important. It boiled down to a clash of beliefs. I discontinued co operation in an area because I couldn’t reconcile what I believed to be true with the other persons hard held convictions.
I realized that he wasn’t going to amend what he thought to be true and I decided to walk away from this area of our association. His response was vitriolic. I was surprised and disappointed. I am sorry to lose him as a friend as I admire him greatly.
The important lesson I learnt from this is, even when things are dark, keep your balance, control your emotion and exercise tolerance. Others in the group where he exploded wanted to know what the issue was. I simply said it was a matter between us and, whilst I respected his right to his position, it wasn’t tenable for me.
His response was abuse that I will not print. I guess it takes a dark moment to really find out who you are.
We have released the DVD on fear. I strongly suggest you take a look, at least at the introduction we have on the site. For the first, and possibly only time I offer a money back guarantee. If you do not feel you have gained anything from the DVD, e-mail me and we will refund your money.
Merchandising.
I’d like to explain why I don’t offer earth shattering ‘specials’ for $29.94 or some other ridiculous amount when I offer a DVD for sale. I happen to believe that people are sensible and intelligent. I will not make something artificially scarce (This offer only valid until midnight Thursday) I often ask myself, “What is going to happen on midnight Thursday that will prevent people from getting this ‘bargain.”
No, I am not a merchant. I don’t sell goods, or even services. I offer well researched and proven strategies to make your life a better place to be. The information and knowledge is priceless and the price I ask is fair exchange.
Alvin Bahn
You will notice a page by Alvin on the site. When I met him he was confused, erratic and brilliant. He just didn’t know how to harness the potential he had. I was able to assist him on his path and am very proud of him.
He did it. The decisions were his and the action he took were his idea. What he needed was guidance and the knowledge that he was believed in. He took on the HOWCANI approach to life and living and I have to say he is heading for a brilliant future.
Until next time,
Live well,
Ollie
