“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face . . . do the thing you think you cannot do.” Eleanor Roosevelt
Hi there,
It’s September in the southern hemisphere and that means spring. Spring is the time for beginnings, the promise of beautiful weather, more outdoor life than ever and a general feeling of optimism.
I recently added to a series of talks we have been filming. The major stress has been sales, but this particular talk was of a more general nature. We looked at the single greatest barrier we experience when we take that step into the unknown. FEAR
Most people have problems with fear in some manner or other. Fear can paralyse you and prevent you from realizing your dreams. For so long we have been told, ‘face up to your fear.’ Doesn’t help much if fear strikes. But if you understand the role fear plays in life and the origin of fear you have a chance of defeating it.
We examine all aspects of fear, the origin on fear and how you can use fear to expand your capabilities. I am excited about this DVD because I have never seen a more complete, easy to understand treatment of this very difficult subject. Keep an eye out for it.
I read a quote the other day which is really appropriate if we are looking at fear.
“I can accept failure.
Everyone fails at something.
But I can’t accept not trying.”
Michael Jordan
The reason most people don’t try, or give up, is fear. They don’t try because they do not think they can succeed. If you don’t try you can’t succeed.
Have you ever hesitated, then backed away from doing something in life that really could have made a difference?
If you understand what it is that holds you back, and have a strategy for a way forward, you have a chance to really strike out and expand your life.
Howcani offers you a real chance of solving problems, expanding your ability and gaining increased understanding of the game of life.
In a couple of weeks I will be recording a DVD outlining what I call ‘The Philosophy of Learning.” I’m very excited at the prospect of sharing this unique set of viewpoints that underpin the howcani approach. It is the missing message you need to know if you really want to master new things and fulfill your potential.
Here’s to having the courage to take the adventure. Really living life.
Regards,
Ollie
