I recently wrote about a sales consultant who, after following my advice and really applying himself, asked the age old question, “What’s in it for me?”
If you recall my reply was for him to focus internally on his wishes for himself and externally on what service he could provide for others. He didn’t respond directly to me. He did something better.
He let his actions speak for him. HIs Sales Manager was away last week and he organised the sales meeting, ran an open forum on how the team could support each other and did the weekly report required by management.
I sent him an e-mail affirming his actions.
It looks like he got the message.
